This week, starting on the 11th of September, a wave of Paldean Pokemon will debut in GO. Oddish Research Day also takes place.

Oddish
Oddish Research Day is September 17th, 2023 between 2:00pm and 5:00pm (local time). Oddish encounters can be earned by spinning PokeStops and completing special research tasks.
Adventures Abound Special Research
Choose your Paldean partner Pokemon! The Trainers will have access to a new Special Research Story with multiple branching paths! Pokemon GO Adventures Abound allows you to bond and adventure with your partner Pokemon.
This Special Research is free from Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2023 at 10:00 am to Friday, Dec. 1, 2023 at 9:59 am local time.
Timed Investigation: Master Ball
Trainers, start on your path to mastery. Timed Investigations are a series of challenging tasks that can be completed within a certain time frame. This journey will reward you with some of the most rare rewards in Pokemon GO.
Master Ball is available in Pokemon GO Adventures: Abound. Timed Investigation: Master Ball will be available throughout Pokemon GO: Adventures Abound.
It will capture any Pokemon encountered in Pokemon GO, regardless of whether you are in the Wild, using Lure Modules or Daily Adventure Incense, or after a Raid Battle.
- For Trainers who are unable to complete Timed Investigation: Master Ball by November 21, 2023, a Special Research ticket that awards a Master Ball will be available to purchase.
GO Battle League 16
GO Battle League will begin on September 1, 2023 at 12 noon PT.
At the start of Season, the following things will happen:
- End-of-Season rewards will be available on the battle screen.
- Your GO Battle League rank will be reset.
- Rank-up requirements will remain the same as the prior
Season.

Spotlight Hour
Mankey
Mankey will be the Pokemon of choice for our spotlight hour on Tuesday, September 12th from 6pm to 7pm (local time), along with two times as much candy when catching Pokemon.

On Wednesday, September 13, from 6pm to 7pm (local time), Kartana will be appearing in five-star raids in regions outside their usual areas. Kartana is in the Southern Hemisphere and Celesteela, in the Northern Hemisphere.
Mega Raids
Manectric (Mega)
Mega Raids will debut Mega Manectric from September 1 through September 16.
Gardevoir (Mega)
Mega Gardevoir appears in Mega Raids from September 16 through October 6.
Five Star Raids

Celesteela
Kartana will be appearing in raids with five stars from September 8 through September 16. Celesteela will appear temporarily in different places around the globe!
Genesect (Burn Drive)
Genesect Burn Drive will be featured in raids of five stars from September 16 through September 23.
Shadow Raids
Shadow Raids of one-star, three-star, and five-star will be offered daily. Five-star Shadow Raids are only available on Sundays and Saturdays, except where otherwise stated. Shadow Zapdos are also swooping into the five-star Shadow Raids for Adventures Abound!

If you are lucky, for the first time ever in Pokemon GO you might even come across a Shiny Shadow Zapdos!

Adventures Abound: Seasonal Bonuses
These bonuses apply to Adventures Abound Season 12.
Every day, trainers will receive up to 40 gifts.
Trainers are able to carry up to 40 gifts in their bags
Damage increases when raiding with friends
Increased XP when you go up in Friendship Level
Season of Adventures Research Breakthrough
- From September 1, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. PDT (GMT -7) to December 1, 2023, at 1:00 p.m.
PDT (GMT -7) - Complete Field Research tasks during the whole season to earn an encounter from a pool of Pokémon, including Sableye, Galarian Farfetch’d, Larvitar, Furfrou, Bagon and Goomy.
