Ultra Unlock: Paldea Event Guide

We have unlocked the Ultra Unlock Paldea after successfully completing the Global Challenges in the Global Pokemon GO Fest event 2023! New Pokemon and Shinies are being released, as well as special Unown Letters spelling out PALDEA. Raids will be exclusive to the event.

Ultra Unlock Paldea will be part of Adventures Abound, a new season that begins on September 1, 2023. See our September 2023 Events guide to find out more about the events that are taking place in Pokemon Go this month.

    Gimmighoul will not appear at Golden PokeStops without the use of a Golden Lure, however trainers can still find Gimmighoul Coins by spinning a Golden PokeStop Event even without using a Golden Lure.

    PokeStops can turn golden without using a Golden Lure

    PokeStops accept Pawmi, Nymble and other Pokemon.

  • Pokemon Encounter icon

    During the event, it is more likely that Houndour Hoppip Buizel Fletchling and Fletchling are shiny.

This timed research expires on Friday 15th September 2023, at 8pm local time. All rewards must be claimed and the timed research completed before that date.

Trainers can gift their Great Friends or above friends this ticket. All purchases are final (subject only to the applicable laws and exceptions listed in the Terms and Conditions) and tickets cannot be bought with PokeCoins.

This ticket will be only available until the 14th of September 2023 at 8pm local time.

By completing the timed search, you can get the Pawmi bag before the store opens. The backpack will be on sale after the event.

Adventures Abound Special Research

Choose your Paldean partner Pokemon! The Trainers will have access to a new Special Research Story with multiple branching paths! Pokemon GO Adventures Abound allows you to bond and adventure with your partner Pokemon.

This Special Research is free from Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2023 at 10:00 am to Friday, Dec. 1, 2023 at 9:59 am local time.
